M 539 J Blanket Chest
The original Heywood-Wakefield M 539 Encore Blanket Chests were only produced from 1952 to 1953. They are quite rare and something of a holy grail for collectors today.
Our M 539 J, shown here in our Amber finish, is true to the original except that it's 3.5'' taller. This provides more storage space, with today's comforters made thicker than their 1950s counterparts. At 17.5" high, it also serves as a comfortable seat.
